About
Attachment allows children the secure base necessary to explore, learn and relate and the well-being, motivation and opportunity to do so. Attachment theory is important for infants, children and all human beings. Attachment is a reciprocal process by which an emotional connection develops between an infant and his/her caregivers. It influences a child's physical, neurological, cognitive and psychological development. In this course, we explore: Different types of attachment styles that develop from infancy. Characteristics of each attachment style in children, young people, parents, and caregivers. How a person's attachment style affects their behaviours and relationships throughout their lives. Case scenarios exploring different attachment styles.
