Being Trauma Informed

As an educator or caregiver, it is likely that you will be caring for a child who has experienced complex trauma. It is important that you have a thorough understanding of trauma and its effects on children before we can introduce strategies. We will look at the strategies in Today's Child course 'From Trauma to Recovery'. In this course, you will have the opportunity to develop: A deeper understanding of how trauma affects children's behavior. Increased confidence to support children who have experienced trauma. Strategies for strengthening the relationship between you and the children in your care. An awareness and sensitivity to the dynamics of trauma.
