Relationships are the foundations for the construction of identity – ‘who I am’, ‘how I belong’ and ‘what is my influence?’ (EYLF, DEEWR, 2009, p. 20). The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) (DEEWR, 2009) highlights educators’ relationships with children as central to supporting their learning.
